ISSF Referee Training Course held over use of Electronic Scoring Target

The German Shooting Sport and Archery Federation has hosted a second ISSF referee training course this year in Wiesbaden, training officials to use the ‘Electronic Scoring Target’ (EST) on the international stage.

The course, held from 1 to 6 October, saw 20 referees from the United States, India, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Poland and Germany come to the city to learn more about the system, which evaluates results in competition.

Participants passed a final exam to be able to evaluate results through the EST system at ISSF competitions.

ISSF Technical Committee member Jadranka Strukic led the course, following on from their experience as the technical delegate for shooting at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

At the start of the course, participants were given a tour of the shooting facilities in Wiesbaden.
