How to qualify for the WCF?
The Qualification for the ISSF World Cup Final (WCF) 2025 is possible by winning one (1) of the four (4) ISSF World Cups (WC) in 2025, or by gaining ranking points through the ISSF Ranking System.

ISSF World Cup Qualification
Each athlete, who is officially registered to compete in a WC by his/her National Federation – ISSF Member Federation – can qualify for the WCF in one (1) or more events. An athlete can only win one (1) WCF qualification place.

Each Gold medal winner of a WC in 2025 will qualify for the WCF. If an athlete has already won a previous WC Gold medal, then the qualification place will be awarded to the athlete in second place at this subsequent WC. If this athlete has also qualified at a previous WC, then the allocation will be given to the highest ranked athlete (in the Final Results) not yet qualified.

ISSF World Cup Ranking
At the end of the 2025 ISSF World Cup Series, the top two (2) athletes in each event with the highest ranking points values for WCs in 2025 (points from World Championships, Continental Championships/Games and Grand Prix do NOT count), according to the ranking list will qualify for the WCF as well. If an athlete from these top two (2) has already qualified through a WC, the qualification will go to the next ranked athlete in the Qualification Ranking not yet qualified.

Within one (1) event, only a maximum of three (3) athletes per country will be permitted to compete in the WCF. If more than three (3) athletes per country are qualified through a WC or through the ranking, the qualification will then go to the next ranked athlete in the Qualification Ranking from a different country.

ISSF World Championships and Title Defender
Apart from those athletes qualified through the WCF qualification system, the three (3) Medalists of the ISSF World Championships 2025 as well as the Title Defender from the WCF 2024 will have the right to compete. The rule of only a maximum of three (3) athletes per country in one (1) event will not apply to these athletes.
If a WCH Medalist is also WCF Title Defender, the top three (3) ranked athletes (in the Qualification Ranking) in that specific event will qualify.
If one (1) of these athletes (WCH Medalists / WCF Title Defender) has already qualified through a WC or through the ranking, or if a country has more than the maximum of three (3) athletes per event, the qualification will then go to the next ranked athlete in the Qualification Ranking not yet qualified.

If any athlete (incl. WCH Medalists / WCF Title Defender) is unable to participate, the qualification will then go to the next ranked athlete in the Qualification Ranking not yet qualified.

Wild Cards
Up to two (2) athletes may represent the organizing National Federation in each of the twelve (12) events in the WCF 2025.
To receive a Wild Card, the organizing National Federation must apply to the ISSF Headquarters by nominating the athletes who are to receive the Wild Cards, at least 30 days before the scheduled arrival day. The application must provide the athletes’ names, ISSF ID numbers and the event in which each athlete will participate.
