Japan’s Matsuda pockets his first crystal globe in style, set a new World Record
The experienced 41-year-old Pistol shooter won his first World Cup Final crystal globe by setting a new World Record and besting talented 19-year-old Ukrainian Pavlo Korostylov, who instead finished with the Equaled Junior World Record. The Bronze medal went to Oleh Omelchuk, also of Ukraine.

2010 World Champ Matsuda of Japan beat reigning Olympic Champ Hoang of Vietnam at today’s 10m Air Pistol Men final. India’s Jitu Rai came back from 7th to 3rd place to win Bronze, supported by the home crowd.

The Japanese shooter pocketed the 50m Pistol Men Gold medal, prevailing over North Korean athletes Kim Song Guk and Kim Jong Su, who respectively placed 2nd and 3rd, both earning an Olympic quota place.
