ISSF President Luciano Rossi will attend tomorrow’s Paris 2024 Paralympics Opening Ceremony and continue discussions ahead of taking over responsibilities currently held by World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS).

President Rossi will be involved in detailed collaboration with the IPC President Andrew Parsons and leading WSPS officials over a new era of Paralympic shooting that he has been working towards since being elected to his current position in December 2022.

Once successfully concluded it will mean the bringing together of Olympic and Paralympic shooting into one family.

After the Opening Ceremony the ISSF President will return to the Chateauroux site which hosted the Olympic shooting programme and will spend some days getting to know Paralympic athletes, coaches and officials.
