Malakasa, in Greece, will host this year’s ISSF World Championship Shotgun event from October 8 to 19.
As a result the ISSF World Championship in Cairo, which remains scheduled for November 6 to 16, will now only feature rifle and pistol events.
Two other changes have been made to next year’s ISSF schedule.
The World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in Buenos Aires, Argentina, originally due to take place from April 10 to 20, will now do so from March 25 to April 4.
And the World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in Lima, Peru, first set for October 9 to 18, has now been brought forward to tie in with the Malakasa event and will go ahead from April 6 to 15.
Malakasa, 30km north of the Greek capital Athens, has been annual host to the internationally recognized Rockwave Festival since 1996, during which time it has featured acts including Iggy Pop, Pulp, Blur, Garbage, Oasis and The Prodigy.
