President Coventry makes history as the first female President of the IOC.
On behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation, I would like to send sincere congratulations to Kirsty Coventry on her election as President of the International Olympic Committee.
The responsibility to steer course for the Olympic Movement is extremely demanding, but the new President has proven skills and experience.
The ISSF stands prepared for open cooperation with the President Coventry, and all stakeholders.
We look forward to working closely with the new President and their team to ensure that the Olympic Games and the Olympic values remain relevant to future generations.
Finally, I would like to say thank you also to the other candidates in this election campaign.
Their enthusiasm and positive thinking about the future of Olympism have brought credit to the movement and themselves.
