ISSF World Tour Target Sprint gets underway in Ora

Ora, Italy, was the first leg on the ISSF World Tour Target Sprint circuit for 2025, with six champions crowned.

Two gold medals went to the host nation, with Marco Ammirati winning the men's target sprint race in a final time of 8min 05.8sec. Germans Jacob Hoffman and Luca Goehmann completed the podium in 8:20.9 and 8:32.8 respectively. Italy's other gold was courtesy of Ammirati and Claudia Lercher in the mixed team event, with Germany claiming silver and Italy also taking bronze.

Germany secured the rest of the medals including in the women's sprint, won by Kerstin Schmidt in 9:22.2. Italian Matilde Rossi was second in 10:54.6 and Ramona Elsner of Switzerland third in 11:51.5. Junior titles were won by her compatriots Lukas Buerki and Alena Weinmann respectively. On the men's side, Italy's Elia Sidoni and Switzerland's Patrick Gal completed the podium, while Weinmann was joined by Lisa and Julia Enderle in the women's for an all-German podium.

In the junior mixed team event, Alena Weinmann and Lukas Buerki claimed another gold, finishing ahead of Switzerland's Tessa Dietrich and Patrick Gal and Germans Julius Hoffman and Julia Enderle.

ISSF
