With the International Shooting Sport Federation General Assembly taking place in under three weeks, a team from the ISSF visited the host venue in Rome, Italy.
ISSF President Luciano Rossi was joined by Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo, ISSF Senior Staff member Doris Fischl and Event Manager, Jan Ketzel.
In the capital, they visited the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) headquarters as part of their preparations for the General Assembly, with the event to be held at the Salone d'Onore in the CONI building.
A dinner is also to be held at the Foro Italico's Casa delle Armi.
Logistics were discussed with stakeholders including the transportation of participants from the airport and registration at the hotel and there was time to visit the Stadio Olimpico, host to several major sporting events including the 1960 Summer Olympic Games.
"We held meetings with the company in charge of general arrangements around the General Assembly," said ISSF Event Manager, Jan Ketzel.
"We discussed how the work will be divided between the team there and ISSF staff and how the room should be arranged and prepared with regards to seating order and what should be on each delegates' tables.
"We saw the hotel. the location of the General Assembly as well as the locations for dinners."
